Add the TriState Hikes to your iPhone or Google Calendar

If you use Google calendars, you can add the TriState Hikes calendar to your own calendar, eliminating the need to visit the TriState Ramblers website just to check the calendar. Also note that the hike meeting location is included as part of the Google calendar entry, which can be clicked on from the app (not the website) for those using their phones for directions.

While in your google calendar (from a desktop or laptop), go to:

Settings

Add calendar

From URL

and copy/enter/type in the following address:

https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/vonrbb5m7l276srdgo4qr379cc%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

You then have to activate (unhide) the calendar. Open the Google Calendar app on your phone:

Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.

Scroll down to see your list of calendars and tap to check the box next to the TSR calendar.

If you do not see it, tap Refresh in the menu.

For Iphone users, you can add the Calendar using the following steps:

• Open Settings

• Scroll down to Apps

• Open the Calendar App

• Choose Calendar Accounts

• Add Account. Then Add Other Account. Then Subscribed Calendar

• Then Paste above URL in the Server field, choose Next and then Save
