On October 19, 2020, the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference turns 100! To mark this milestone, the organization is holding its first-ever Trail-A-Thon to raise funds in support of the Trail Conference and its mission. All are invited to take on the challenge of walking, hiking, running, or riding 100 miles to help mark the Centennial. The event takes place from Monday, September 14 through Saturday, October 31.
The TriState Ramblers, as a member of the organization, is entering a team in the Trail-A-Thon! Please consider registering to participate by joining the TSR team. Participation is free, although you are welcome to donate toward our modest team fundraising goal and/or fund-raise as an individual. At the end of the challenge, all participants will receive a certificate and a Protect the Land You Love sticker.
Details are provided in this document: www.nynjtc.org/news/virtual-trailathon-registration-guide. To sign up, go to https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Virtual/100Milesfor100Years. Select one of the three registration options and fill in all additional boxes marked with a red asterisk. (Only those who already have a “RunSignUp” account should click on Sign In.) When you get to the Team Fundraiser page, use the drop-down menu to select TriState Ramblers.
By default, you will be assigned an individual fundraising goal of $250. That does not mean you are required to donate or fund-raise, but of course the Trail Conference is hoping to raise money through this event.
Starting September 14, participants will log in and track their mileage (walking, hiking, running, or riding). The above referenced registration guide has instructions on how to submit your results.
